Signia Wealth Announces Management Changes

Signia Wealth has sought to draw a line under a recent series of management departures with the re-hiring of a series of executives who had left the business last year. The announcement co-incided with the latest series of exits from the business as chief investment officer Chris Godding and investment strategist Gautam Batra stepped down. Incoming managing director Carnegie Smyth, chief investment officer Etienne de Merlis and head of wealth management Greg Malone left the company in the middle of last year to set up wealth management business Squared Investments.
Signia Wealth Appoints Paul Lester as Executive Chair

Signia Wealth has strengthened its board with the appointment of Paul Lester as executive chair. The firm is seeking to increase its assets under management to £5 billion in the next five years. In his new role, Lester will advise and govern the executive team as well as support Signia's advisory board. He is currently chair of private company Greenergy International, as well as the FTSE 250 firm John Laing Infrastructure fund, and private equity backed companies Parabis, Survitec and Peverel. Prior to this, Lester worked at infrastructure group Balfour Beatty where he was group managing director. The appointment follows the hires of Michael Rosenthal as head of hedge fund investment, and Sir Keith Mills to Signia's advisory board.
