Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP Announces Executive Changes

Faiza Saeed will become the next presiding partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP on January 1, 2017. Saeed, 50, will replace C. Allen Parker, who took over the position from Evan Chesler in 2013. Saeed has spent her entire 25-year career at the New York law firm and is co-head of its M&A practice along with Robert Townsend III. She's currently advising longtime client Dreamworks Animation SKG Inc. (DWA) on its planned $3.8 billion sale to Comcast. Corp. as well as a special committee of the board of Yahoo! Inc. on the company's ongoing auction. Parker, 61, will complete his four-year term as presiding partner at the end of 2016 and could not have completed another term in that role because the firm requires a presiding partner to step down from the position at age 63. He had been deputy presiding partner since 2007.
