Great Quest Announces New Partnership with the Aga Khan Development Network

Great Quest Fertilizer Ltd. announced the commencement of second year demonstrations of the company's direct application phosphate project. Work continues with government partner the institut pour economique Developpment, a division of Mali's ministry of Agriculture. In addition, Great Quest welcomed new partner the Aga Khan Development Network. The company's fertilizer is being applied in the field this month. Great Quest has provided quantities of the proposed products to farmers that are part of the AKF agricultural development program in the Mopti region of Mali. Farmers of millet, corn, sorghum, peanuts and peas will be given an opportunity to use the product alongside other products and measure it's efficacy. With institut pour economique Developpment the product will be used on corn, cotton, peanuts, millet, sorghum and rice. Product will be retained and applied on off season crops in January, lettuce, carrots, onions and tomatoes. These crops use large quantities of fertilizer and offer a good opportunity to balance cash flows through the year for the company's planned manufacturing facility. In a repeat of efforts last year demonstrations will be performed in all of the major agricultural climatic regions. New this year, the company will perform demonstrations in the Northern regions of Timbuktu and Gao. However, through partnerships with development organizations like the Aga Khan Development Network, the company can gain direct access to small farmers to develop the market and create access for the products.
