Swedbank AS (Latvia Branch) announced earnings results for 2014. For the period, the company generated €113 million in profit, which is by 12% more than in 2013. She explained the growth of profit up from €101 million in 2013 with improved recoveries. Group's preliminary profit in was €116.02 million, which is by 2.7% more than in 2013, and Swedbank's profit rose 2.7% to €115.898 million last year. net income in 2014 decreased by 4% year-on-year, mainly due to low market interest rates and reduced income from foreign exchange trading after the adoption of the euros. Net interest income decreased by 2% in 2014 and, in light of lower deposit rates, the drop in the fourth quarter was also 2%.
