Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd. has strengthened its track record in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-related business by securing contracts to build its first two dual-fuel diesel LNG harbour tugs. The two tugs are expected to use bunkering services provided by the Keppel-Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) joint venture company, FueLNG Ltd. (FueLNG). In addition, Keppel O&M has also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Shell to jointly explore potential opportunities in the LNG sector.
Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited Wins Contract from Jan De Nul Group to Build Three Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited secured contracts from Jan De Nul Group to build three Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHDs). The TSHDs are worth about SGD 100 million in total. The first two dredgers are expected to be completed in second half of 2018 while construction of the third dredger will require a notice within six months from Jan De Nul to exercise the option for the dredger. To be built to Jan De Nul's design, the dredgers will be able to dredge to a maximum depth of 27.6m, and have a hopper capacity of 3,500 m3. The two dredgers will be built to the requirements of classification society, Bureau Veritas, in Keppel Nantong Shipyard, a subsidiary of Keppel O&M.
Keppel Offshore & Marine Enters in to Agreement with Rosneft Oil Company and MHWirth to Set Up a Singapore Incorporated Joint Venture Company

Keppel Offshore & Marine has entered into a shareholders’ agreement with Rosneft Oil Company (Rosneft), and MHWirth, to set up a Singapore incorporated Joint Venture Company (JVCO). The shareholding of Keppel O&M, Rosneft and MHWirth in the JVCO will be 45%, 45% and 10% respectively. The JVCO will establish a wholly-owned Design and Engineering Centre (DEC) in the Russian Federation, and its principal business activities will be in relation to the design and engineering of mobile offshore drilling units (MODUs) for shallow waters to cater to the region. Both the JVCO and the DEC will, in the conduct of its business and activities, adhere to the prevailing and European Union sanctions imposed on the Russian offshore oil and gas sector.
