Dassault Aviation to Present its Expanding Line of Large-Cabin Long Range Falcon Business Jets at Jet Expo Moscow 2015
Sep 9 15
Dassault Aviation will present its expanding line of large-cabin long range Falcon business jets at Jet Expo Moscow 2015, which opens on September 10 at the Vnukovo 3 Business Aviation Complex. The exhibit will feature the very popular Falcon 7X, the ultra versatile Falcon 2000LXS and a cabin mockup of the all-new Falcon 5X very large body twinjet, due to begin flying this fall. Also expected to be high on customer's agenda at the show is Dassault's big new ultra-long range Falcon 8X trijet, set to begin deliveries next year. Dassault anticipates strong demand for this latest model, introduced last year as the new Falcon family. The 6,450 nm/11,945 km 8X will offer the range and the longest cabin of any Falcon, allowing it to take passengers from Moscow to Los Angeles, Cape Town or Rio de Janeiro non-stop. The new aircraft will also offer the large selection of cabin configurations in business aviation and the same low operating economics and remarkable operating flexibility for which all Falcons are known. On the twinjet end, demand is expected to be strong for the new 5X as well as the Falcon 2000LXS, the newest version in the storied Falcon 2000 family. The 5,200 nm/9,630 km 5X will offer the high and wide cabin on the market, yet provide sufficient range to fly from Moscow to New York or Hong Kong nonstop. The Falcon 2000LXS combines the best blend of airport flexibility, cabin comfort and efficiency in the 4,000 nm segment. Certificated in early 2013, the rugged 2000LXS is perfect for operations in and out of the many small airfields that dot the Russian landscape.
Dassault Announces its New Falcon 5X Will Roll Out on June 2 and Is Expected to Make its Maiden Flight this Summer

Dassault announced that its new Falcon 5X will roll out on June 2 and is expected to make its maiden flight this summer. The first 5X powered up for the first time at the end of August 2014 and started system ground tests last autumn followed by a vibration test campaign. It was joined by s/n 02 earlier this year. Both aircraft are participating in ground testing and s/n 01 recently completed a second engine run up cycle. Bench testing of key systems, including the electrical and fuel system, hydraulics and the aircraft's advanced digital flight controls, is well advanced. Pilots have completed over 250 simulation flights on the global simulation bench at Dassault Aviation headquarters in Saint-Cloud, France which replicates the 5X's flight control, avionics and hydraulic systems.
