The Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) has appointed K.H. Lim, chairman and CEO of SiS International, to its executive committee. Global Technology Distribution Council Appoints Alessandro Cattani as Regional Deputy Chairman for Europe

The Global Technology Distribution Council announced the appointment of Alessandro Cattani as its first Regional Deputy Chairman for Europe. This newly created position allows the GTDC to respond more quickly to market conditions and relevant issues in the EMEA region. Cattani, the CEO of Esprinet S.p.A. was named a member of the GTDC's executive council last October. In this additional role, he will help drive the strategic direction and initiatives in Europe for the GTDC. Esprinet's CEO since November 2000, Cattani brings more than 20 years of executive leadership to this expanded leadership position within the GTDC. Prior to leading Esprinet, Cattani worked for 10 years on management consulting projects, including the merger of three distribution companies into the current Esprinet, when he was asked to lead the company. Cattani will work closely with Rick Hamada, CEO of Avnet and chairman of the GTDC, on driving the direction and development of GTDC initiatives in EMEA.
