Chairman of Chicagoland Chamber Elects Stephen Ferrara as Chairman

Stephen Ferrara, Partner and Chief Operating Officer of BDO USA, LLP has been elected Chairman of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. Announced on June 7 during the Chamber's Annual Meeting, Ferrara will serve a two-year term beginning July 1. Ferrara takes over for Paul La Schiazza, President, AT&T Illinois, who served as Chairman 2014-2016. Prior to being elected Chairman, Ferrara served on the Chicagoland Chamber's Executive Committee for six years, most recently as Treasurer and the Chairman of the Finance Committee. He also served as the Co-Chair of the Chamber's Strategic Planning Committee in 2015. A member of both the Commercial and Economic Clubs of Chicago, he currently serves on the Board of the Illinois CPA Society and the World Presidents Organization. Steve is also the immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Notebaert Nature Museum. Stephen Ferrara has more than 30 years of experience working in public accounting and in industry as a CFO. Prior to his role as COO, Steve served as the regional managing partner for BDO USA's Central Region.
The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Announces Board Appointments

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce announced that Robin L. Brown, vice president of government affairs and external relations for Ingredion Incorporated, will serve as the new chairman of its Public Policy Committee. Matthew Summy, vice president of external and government affairs for Comcast Greater Chicago Region, will serve as the new vice chairman. Brown has been employed with Ingredion for 30 years, having held positions of increasing management responsibility for the sales, technical sales service and marketing communications functions within the food sales organization. She has served in her current role since October 2009. New Vice Chairman Matthew Summy leads Comcast's community investment, civic engagement and government affairs portfolio for the company in Illinois, Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. From 2008 to 2012, Summy served as the founding President and CEO of the Illinois Science & Technology Coalition (ISTC), where he developed public-private partnerships to advance the Midwest's profile and standing as a global center for innovation.
