Eversendai Corporation Berhad announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, revenue was MYR 308,511,000 against MYR 238,257,000 a year ago. Operating profit was MYR 32,029,000 against MYR 21,780,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 22,764,000 against loss before tax of MYR 3,595,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was MYR 16,444,000 against loss for the period of MYR 9,265,000 a year ago. Profit for the period attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR 16,205,000 against loss for the period of MYR 8,885,000 a year ago. Basic Earnings per share attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR was 2.09 sen against loss per share of 1.15 sen a year ago.

Eversendai Corp Bhd Bags MYR 120 million Contract

Eversendai Corp. Bhd has won its third job this year a MYR 120 million contract to build a warehouse in Penang. Last month, it won two jobs - a MYR 44 million deal to build the Nas Indoor Futsal and Volleyball Arena in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and a MYR 184 million contract to construct the Dhirubhai Ambani International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India. The company's latest job was awarded by PKT Logistics Group to construct a fourth-generation warehouse called the 12 Waves, which will be a part of the One Auto Hub in Batu Kawan. One Auto Hub is expected to be one of the large automotive logistics providers in Malaysia to cater to the needs of the automotive industry under the purview of the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority. Works on the warehouse are scheduled to start next month and completed by April next year. This is the second job that Eversendai has won from PKT Logistics. The first was a MYR 65 million warehouse contract in 2010.

Eversendai Corporation Berhad has been won contract worth MYR 184 million by Reliance Industries Ltd. of India. The scope of work for fabrication will be undertaken by Eversendai's fabrication facilities in Malaysia, Dubai and India and is scheduled to be completed by April 2016. The MYR 184 million contracts is for the supply of steel materials, connection design, engineering and fabrication for the construction of the Dhirubhai Ambani International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DAICEC) in Mumbai. DAICEC will be a mixed-use development located within the Bandra Kurla Complex, a commercial zone in the heart of Mumbai. It will house various facilities including a convention and banqueting facility; exhibition halls; a performance arts centre with a seating capacity of 2,000 people and would be capable of hosting international events and rock shows; premium service apartments; as well as prime retail and high-end commercial spaces.
