UPMC reported earnings results for the nine months ended March 31, 2015. For the period, the company reported operating revenues increased to $8.8 billion due primarily to growth in insurance services. Earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization (EBIDA) were $547 million. Clyde B. Jones III to Leave from The University of Pittsburgh and UPMC as President of the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation

Clyde B. Jones III, president of the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation of the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, will leave his position June 12, 2015, to become senior vice president for institutional advancement for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Jones, who also holds the titles of vice chancellor for health sciences development at the University of Pittsburgh and chief development officer at UPMC, has led the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation since its creation in 2003 to raise philanthropic funds for the University's health sciences schools and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).

UPMC Reports Earnings Results for the First Half Ended December 31, 2014

UPMC reported earnings results for the first half ended December 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported operating revenues increased to $5.8 billion, due primarily to growth in insurance services. Operating income, which is reinvested in programs that support UPMC's mission, was $177 million. UPMC's excess of revenues over expenses (net income) was $141 million. Earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization (EBIDA) - a key measure of financial performance and the ability to generate the necessary resources for reinvestment - were $408 million.
