Berkshire Bank Announces Exceptive Appointments

Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc. announced that Shawn Howard will lead investment strategies for the bank as its new Senior Vice President, Chief Investment Officer, Senior Portfolio Manager. In addition, Tom Barney, First Vice President, Wealth Advisor and Colleen Lussier, Vice President, Wealth Advisor have joined the Wealth Management Team. These additions represent a continued focus on providing convenient, fully integrated investment and money management solutions to Berkshire Bank customers. Howard has over 20 years of financial experience, with nearly 16 years in the asset management space as a Portfolio Manager; he was most recently at TD Bank in the Private Client Group, Springfield, MA, where he managed investment portfolios for high-net worth individuals, non-profit organizations, and institutional clients. Barney has rejoined the Berkshire Bank wealth management team after retiring in 2011. Prior to his retirement, Barney led the team for seventeen years growing the division to almost $700 million in assets. Barney previously served as Vice President for Fleet Investment Services in Hartford, CT as well as Vice President and Private Banker for Bank of Boston in Pittsfield, Springfield and Hartford, CT. Lussier also joins the bank from TD Bank where she was a wealth advisor for over 16 years. She will assist in developing client relationships as well as trust and estate administration.

Berkshire Bank Announces Management Appointments

Berkshire Bank named five personnel to lead its wealth management team. Richard Bleser was named senior vice president, chief investment officer. He will lead Berkshire's investment portfolio management efforts. Bleser has been SVP portfolio manager at Berkshire Bank since 2010. Jason Edgar was named senior vice president, wealth portfolio manager and regional leader for New England. He joined the bank as senior portfolio manager in 2014. Mary Ellen Cologero was appointed senior vice president, wealth portfolio manager and regional leader for New York. She previously served as senior portfolio manager. Janice Ward was named first vice president, wealth adviser and senior fiduciary officer. She has served as wealth adviser and senior fiduciary officer since joining the bank in 2012. Elizabeth Gore was appointed first vice president, trust operations and compliance. She currently manages the bank's Lenox wealth management office. All appointments are effective immediately.

Berkshire Bank Appoints Carin Urban as Vice President and Regional Branch Manager

Carin Urban has been hired as vice president and regional branch manager for Berkshire. She will be working out of the bank's regional headquarters at 41 State St. in Albany. Before coming to Berkshire, Urban worked for Key Bank as an area retail leader. At Key she oversaw thirteen retail locations, including branch sales and business development. Urban will manage the Capital North region retail banking team for Berkshire. That includes branches on Wolf Road, Clifton Park, Colonie, Glenville, Halfmoon, Latham, Little Falls, Loudonville, Niskayuna and Rotterdam, among others.
