Mr. Joseph M. Tucci, also known as Joe has been the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of EMC Corporation since January 2006, January 2001 and February 6, 2014 respectively. Mr. Tucci serves as a Member of Executive Council of TechNet. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of EMC Corporation from January 2000 to January 2001 and served as its President from January 2000 to July 2012. Mr. Tucci served as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Getronics NV from June 1999 to December 1999. He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Wang Global Inc. from December 1993 to June 1999 and served as the President since January 1993, directing the financial and operational rebirth of it for six years. Mr. Tucci joined Wang Global in 1990 as an Executive Vice President of Operations. At Wang, he guided emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Prior to joining the firm, he served as the President of U.S.A Information Systems at Unisys Corporation, a position he assumed after the 1986 merger of Sperry and Burroughs that created Unisys. Mr. Tucci started his career as a Systems Programmer at RCA Corporation. He is a Member of Board of Overseers of Columbia Business School. Mr. Tucci has been the Chairman of the Board and a Director of VMware, Inc. (VMware Corporation) since April 2007. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Salesnet Inc. Mr. Tucci serves as an Advisor at New Mountain Capital, LLC. He has been a Director of Paychex Inc., since January 2000 and serves its Lead Independent Director. He serves a Director at EMC Corporation since January 2001. Mr. Tucci serves as a Member of the United States President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).
