yamaha motor co ltd (YAMHF) Key Developments

Yamaha Motor Company Limited Announces Launch of New MT-25 Sports Model in Indonesia

Yamaha Motor Company Limited has announced the launch of new MT-25 sports model from the MT series in Indonesia, featuring a 250cc liquid-cooled in-line two-cylinder engine. Manufacturing and sales of the new model will be carried out by Yamaha Motor's group company, PT. Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing. The 'MT-25' brings the sporty feeling that is enjoyed in the everyday speed ranges of the 'MT-09' and 'MT-07' and the character of the 'MT' series to the 250cc class. Moreover, through its development based on the platform of the 'YZF-R25', which has already won high praise in the ASEAN and developed markets, it delivers both superior handling and cost-performance. The development concept is the 'street cheetah', which can nimbly cut through the urban jungle and take the lead in the traffic flow. Its main features include: riding position suited to agile yet comfortable city riding; design that expresses the 'mass forward silhouette' and feeling of mass centralization shared across the 'MT' series; two-cylinder engine that brings a sense of elation to mid- and high-speed range; and lightweight 165kg body design that contributes to nimble handling. Moreover, as a global model charged with 'expanding business scale', the future launch of the 'MT-25' is planned for many countries around the world, including developed markets.

Yamaha Motor to Release 2016 ATV Models in North America

Yamaha Motor Company Limited announced that it will release its 2016 year North American market all-terrain vehicle, or ATV, models from June 2015. The range of ATVs, which are highly popular in the North American market, is made up of the new 'Grizzly', the utility model, the new 'Kodiak 700', volume segment utility model, and the 'Raptor 90' model, aimed at youth customers. The 'Grizzly' is a utility model principally used for recreational purposes, such as fun rides and hunting on forestry roads and rocky areas. Its main features include: newly-designed front and rear fenders; front and rear suspension and 26-inch tires that deliver superior maneuverability and a comfortable ride; a newly-designed DOHC 708cc fuel-injected engine that boasts high-torque yet easy to handle output and natural engine braking; and newly-designed LED headlights and handle-mounted lights. The 'Kodiak 700' is a utility model principally for practical field applications. Apart from the new design, it features increased functionality and convenience by sharing the 708cc fuel-injected engine, dust- and water-proof rear brakes, and handle-mounted lights (limited to models equipped with EPS) etc. with the Grizzly. The 'Raptor 90' model is aimed at youth customers (aged 10 and over), and features sporty handling characteristics, and increased ride comfort and ease of operation. As none of these models are able to be registered to obtain license plates, they cannot be driven on public roads.

Yamaha Motor Launch New i-Pulse 3D Hybrid Surface Mounters

Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. announced the release of its new S10 and S20 i-PULSE 3D HYBRID SURFACE MOUNTERS with enhanced support for MID's (Molded Interconnect Devices) from September 1, 2015. The S10 and S20 have been developed under the concept of a single unit Manufacturing Center designed for surface mounting, dispensing and inspecting. In addition to having superior product loading speed and accuracy as well as highly versatile mounting options from ultra-small chips to large components, these models are hybrids with their mounting heads and dispensing heads intermingled allowing alternate dispensing and mounting. The S10 and S20 are more advanced models than the existing M10 and M20 offering improved flexibility, expandability and productivity. Through a newly developed tilt mechanism unit and a long stroke on the Z axis in the S10 and S20 models, surface mounting is now possible on concave-convex, sloped and curved surfaces bringing enhanced expandability to suit production types over and above conventional flat board types. Head variation can also be set to a 6-axis 6-theta, or 12-axis 2-theta configurations. Cost performance is further enhanced through improved in placement capability.
