Robert Nason to Retire from Telstra as Executive of Business Support and Improvement

Telstra's Group Executive of Business Support and Improvement, Robert Nason, will retire after championing an historic productivity and customer advocacy agenda across Telstra. Mr. Nason, 60, was the Telstra executive responsible for establishing a multi-year, multi-billion dollar productivity program and led the introduction of the Net Promoter System into Telstra to drive focus on customer advocacy. Mr. Nason will continue in his role for several months then provide transition support and other assistance within the business, including maintaining his FOXTEL responsibilities, before leaving in October.

Telstra Corporation Limited has added two new mobile business applications, Deputy and ShoeBoxed, to its business platform. ShoeBoxed is a receipt management program that lets customers take a photo of paper receipt using their mobile phone or tablet and turns it into useable data for tax and expense reporting. Deputy is a mobile rostering and team management platform, allowing managers to identify staff available to attend a shift or send out notifications. It can also integrate with popular cloud based accounting applications to help process payroll with ease.

To increase the demand for high quality, low latency, highly available media content, the new Telstra Digital Video Network (DVN) supports an increased range of media content formats and access requirements including: Linear Video [4K, HD, SD, ASI, IP], File based media content, Media Data & Itinerant pay-per-use services. Telstra DVN now provides additional value to customers by integrating Aspera into the solution, enabling customers to achieve secure, high performance and reliable media file transfers within their environments and Telstra DVN Media Community to anywhere in the world. The solution will help organizations manage their real-time and non-real-time video and workflow requirements.
Telstra to Launch Extra Data Service in May

Telstra will introduce a service dubbed 'Extra Data' on 12 May 2015. The new feature will allow customers to opting in to receive automatic top ups in 1GB blocks whenever they exceed their monthly data allowance. Each block of 1GB (or part thereof) is charged at a flat rate of AUD 10. Customers who do not use additional data in a month will not be charged for Extra Data.
