Telia Signs Agreement with Knivsta Town Council in Uppsala County, to Install an Open Access Fibre Optic Network for Both Residents and Businesses

Telia announced that it has signed an agreement with Knivsta town council in Uppsala county, to install an open access fibre optic network for both residents and businesses. The municipal administration adopted a policy last year to aim to give 90% of homes and businesses access to broadband at a minimum of 1 Gbps by 2020. Both built-up areas of the town and outlying rural locations will be covered by the plans.

TeliaSonera AB (publ) reported audited consolidated and parent earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the consolidated company reported net sales of SEK 101,060 million against SEK 101,870 million a year ago. Operating income was SEK 22,679 million against SEK 24,462 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was SEK 29,252 million against SEK 31,036 million a year ago. Capex was SEK 16,679 million against SEK 16,332 million a year ago. Return on equity was 15.0% against 15.9% a year ago. Net debt was SEK 59,320 million against SEK 55,774 million a year ago. EBITDA was SEK 33,675 million against SEK 33,656 million a year ago.
For the year, the parent company reported net sales of SEK 4 million against SEK 7 million a year ago. Operating loss was SEK 916 million against SEK 1,023 million a year ago. Income before taxes was SEK 10,243 million against SEK 17,862 million a year ago. Net income was SEK 10,012 million against SEK 16,860 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was SEK 13,193 million against SEK 17,449 million a year ago.
For the year 2015, the company's EBITDA, excluding non-recurring items, in local currencies, excluding acquisitions and disposals, is expected to be around the same level as in 2014. CAPEX, excluding license and spectrum fees, is expected to be around SEK 17 billion.
Teliasonera Proposes Dividend, Payable on April 15, 2015

The Board of Directors of TeliaSonera proposed that a dividend of SEK 3.00 per share be distributed to the shareholders, and that April 10, 2015, be set as the record date for the dividend. If the Annual General Meeting adopts this proposal, it is estimated that disbursement from Euroclear Sweden AB will take place on April 15, 2015.
Teliasonera Group Expands LTE in the Baltics

TeliaSonera group have covered 5 million people in the Baltic States with their LTE networks, equal to 85% of the countries' population. The LTE network of the Estonian mobile operator EMT covers 99% of the country's population and 97% of the country's area. Latvian mobile operator LMT covers 80% of the country's residents with its LTE network, and Lithuanian mobile operator Omnitel has the same coverage in its home country. All three operators are in the process of introducing the faster LTE Advanced technology.
Zitius Signs Contract with Vastervik Local Network

TeliaSonera unit Zitius said it has signed an agreement with Vastervik Miljo og Energi in the town of Vastervik in Kalmar county, regarding the role of communications operator, or operator business, for the metropolitan fibre-optic network. The aim is to make the fibre grid available to more than 90% of the town's residents and businesses by 2020. Under the deal with Zitius, Vastervik Miljo og Energi customers will be able to pick their own provider of telephony, television and broadband services.
