Orrstown Bank Selects Splunk Cloud of Splunk Inc. as its Security Intelligence Platform to Help Detect Threats and Ensure Regulatory Compliance

Splunk Inc. announced that Orrstown Bank has selected Splunk Cloud as its security intelligence platform to help detect threats and ensure regulatory compliance. In addition to helping Orrstown Bank secure its hybrid cloud and on-premises environment, Splunk Cloud enables the bank to continuously improve reliability and cut costs in IT operations. The bank's Technology and Enterprise Risk Management organization will also use Splunk Cloud for an upcoming project involving the bank's ATMs. Splunk Cloud gives Orrstown Bank centralized visibility into machine data coming from more than 60 unique data sources across its entire hybrid IT environment that includes on-premises servers, Amazon Web Services servers and Microsoft Azure. With the ability to now analyze this hybrid data together in Splunk Cloud, Orrstown Bank has improved IT operations reliability and can quickly detect anomalous behavior across its performance, application and network data logs. The bank also uses Splunk Cloud to conform with strict financial services compliance mandates and to answer even the most complex and unanticipated auditor questions. Orrstown Bank also plans to use Splunk Cloud for a critical new project as it deploys new ATMs Splunk Cloud will collect metrics from the ATMs in real time to help diagnose issues and anticipate possible service outages before they impact customers.

Splunk Inc. Appoints Snehal Antani as Chief Technology Officer

Splunk Inc. has appointed Snehal Antani as chief technology officer, or CTO. As CTO, Antani will work with Guido Schroeder, senior vice president, products, and Stephen Sorkin, chief strategy officer, to direct the long-term vision for Splunk technology across Splunk's rapidly expanding cloud, mobile, on-premises and hybrid offerings. Antani will report directly to Godfrey Sullivan, Chairman and CEO, Splunk. Antani previously served as CIO for multiple divisions of GE Capital. As CIO, he was responsible for driving business transformation, blurring the lines between business and IT, and cultivating disruptive ideas for competitive advantage.
