Sky Deutschland Announces Executive Changes

Sky Deutschland appointed Simon Robson as new CFO. Simon Robson will succeed Steven Tomsic as the new CFO of the company. Robson is currently the German pay-TV broadcaster's deputy CFO. Robson will take on his new position at the end of September 2015. After many years at Sky Deutschland initially as a member of the supervisory board followed by almost five years as CFO, Tomsic will leave Germany in autumn 2015.
Sky Deutschland Appoints Kai Mitterlechner as New Head of Sales

Sky Austria appointed Christine Scheil as its new managing director as of 1 September 2015 and will succeed Kai Mitterlechner who will return to Munich as the new head of sales of Sky Deutschland, reporting to Gaetano Pannitto, Executive Vice President Customer Group. Mitterlechner has been a member of Sky Austria's management board since 2009. He previously worked for Sky's predecessor Premiere in different positions, for example as vice president product and strategy and director for projects and sales management.

Sky Deutschland AG reported preliminary earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2015. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of €463.1 million against €427.5 million a year ago. EBITDA was €6.4 million against €45.3 million a year ago. LBIT was €22.6 million against EBIT of €18.3 million a year ago. Result before taxes negative was €29.5 million against €0.2 million a year ago. Net loss was €28.6 million against €2.5 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was €13.6 million against €30.4 million a year ago.
For the year, the company reported total revenues of €1,800.4 million against €1,655.3 million a year ago. EBITDA was €86.2 million against €28.8 million a year ago. LBIT was €25.2 million against €69.4 million a year ago. Result before taxes negative was €70.6 million against €143.2 million a year ago. Net loss was €77.4 million against €150.5 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was €45.5 million against €72.4 million a year ago. Net debt was €390.3 million against €425.4 million a year ago.
Sky Launches Sky Arts in Germany and Austria

Sky has launched its arts and culture offer, Sky Arts, in Germany and Austria over the on-demand services Sky Go and Sky Anytime. The launch of a linear channel is planned for the first quarter of 2016. All content currently available are German-first broadcasts, including features and documentaries with a focus on various artistic movements, photography, architecture, acting, classical music and dance. The launch of Sky Arts in Germany and Austria as well as the new Italian production site in Milan, where programmes for Sky Italy, Sky Germany and Sky UK are conceived and produced, are the first European initiatives of the Sky Group.
Sky Deutschland Releases Sky Online OTT Service to Android Smartphones and Tablets

Sky Deutschland has rolled out the Sky Online OTT service to Android smartphones and tablets. The online TV service is available as an app on the Google Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, S4 mini, S5, S5 mini, Note 2, Note 3, Note 10.1, Tab 3 (7.0, 10.1), Tab 4 (7.0, 10.1) and Tab S (8.4, 10.5) devices. Sky Online offers two packages - Sky Starter for EUR 9.99 a month and Sky Film for EUR 19.99 a month.
