News Corporation Seeks Acquisitions

News Corporation (NasdaqGS:NWSA) is seeking acquisitions in Asia. Lachlan Murdoch, non-executive co-chairman of News Corporation, said the company planned to make acquisitions and investments in start-ups in one of the fastest-growing regions in the world, after making senior executive changes as part of a planned transition to a new leadership group.

News Corp Announces Executive Changes

News Corp. announced that News Corp. Australia chief executive Julian Clarke will step down at the end of 2015, after just two years in the role. Mr. Clarke came out of retirement to step into the role following the abrupt departure of then-chief executive Kim Williams in August 2013. News Corp. announced that the company's chief operating officer Peter Tonagh had been appointed to replace Mr. Clarke. APN News and Media Chief executive Michael Miller is joining News Corp. Australia as executive chairman. He will step down from APN on September 1, 2015 and the media group has appointed the head of its radio operations, Ciaran Davis, as his replacement.

News Corp Plans to Initiate Dividend for the First Quarter of Fiscal 2016

News Corp. announced plans to pay a cash dividend to stockholders. Subject to declaration by the Board of Directors, the Company expects to initiate a semi-annual cash dividend of approximately $0.10 per share in the first quarter of fiscal 2016, which begins on June 29, 2015, for payment in the second quarter.
