Nissan Announces Executive Changes

Nissan announced that Dan Mohnke, currently vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Operations, will take on additional responsibility for U.S. Sales and become vice president, Sales & Marketing Operations, U.S., effective immediately. In addition to his current responsibilities as Chief Marketing Manager, Mohnke will now be responsible for day-to-day sales functions of the Nissan Division in the U.S., as well as Vehicle Operations and Light Commercial Vehicle and Fleet functions. He will be the top U.S. sales liaison working directly with the regional vice presidents, the U.S. headquarters Sales and Dealer Network Development teams and all key stakeholder groups to ensure collaboration and coordination on sales objectives and deliverables. Mohnke replaces Derrick Hatami, who has left the company to pursue other interests, and will report to Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations U.S., Nissan North America.

Nissan to invest GBP 100 million in British plant London. Nissan will invest about GBP 100 million($153 million) to produce a new crossover range of vehicles at a plant in the north-eastern English city of Sunderland. The Nissan Juke range will help secure the jobs of 34,000 people currently employed by Nissan and its British suppliers.

-Nissan to Launch New Navara at Frankfurt Motor Show

Nissan Motor Company will launch its all-new Navara at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor show, scheduled for next month. The vehicle is an all-new version of the one-tonne pick-up. It is equipped with a 2.3-litre diesel engine available in outputs of 158bhp and 187bhp and will be offered with a choice of two- or four-wheel drive models and six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearboxes. It features all around cameras and autonomous emergency braking and options include cruise control, hill descent control and hill start assist. The model is likely to be priced from around GBP 23,000.

Nissan Motor Company has launched its new X-Trail at the 2015 Indonesia International Motor Show. The model is available with a choice of five-seat and seven-seat configurations. It features a kink in the D-pillar, C-shaped tail lamps, slim headlights and V-Motion grille, keyless entry, power windows, central locking, fabric seats, AM/FM radio with CD/USB/AUX and cruise control, and options like parking sensors, rear camera, automatic a/c, leather power front seats and seven-inch touchscreen Nissan-Connect Infotainment system on the inside.
