In the second quarter of 2015, operating income increased by approximately 52% to $33.5 million from $22.0 million in the same quarter of 2014, primarily due to the positive impact of a stronger U.S. dollar relative to the euro and Canadian dollar, partially offset by lower pulp sales realizations. For the quarter, the company’s pulp production increased marginally to 358,861 ADMTs from 353,803 ADMTs in the same quarter of 2014.
