LRAD Corporation Receives Multiple Orders

LRAD Corporation announced that it has received multiple orders for its Acoustic Hailing Device and One Voice MNS device totaling more than $0.9 million for defense, homeland security, and critical asset protection applications. The orders were received from the Oklahoma National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army, U.S. State Department and the Hoover Dam.
LRAD Corporation Announces Mass Notification Orders in Texas and Colorado

LRAD Corporation has announced mass notification orders for a public utility in Texas and a Department of Energy renewable energy facility in Colorado. The orders total $310,000 and include LRAD 360X dual and quad emitter systems, LRAD DS-60 horns, and accessories. LRAD Corporation is partnering with Tyco SimplexGrinnell to replace an antiquated communication system at a Texas power plant with LRAD ONE VOICE outdoor public address/mass notification systems integrated with indoor communications. LRAD also received an order to install a ONE VOICE public address/mass communication system at the Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Colorado.

LRAD Corporation Appoints Karen E. Bowling as Vice President of Marketing

LRAD Corporation announced Karen E. Bowling will become its Vice President of Marketing. Ms. Bowling comes to the company after serving as the Director of Public Affairs and a member of the Government & Public Policy Practice for Foley & Lardner LLP. Ms. Bowling acted as the liaison between Foley & Lardner LLP and LRAD Corporation during the company's retention of the firm earlier this year to consult on developing marketing, strategic planning and business strategies to grow LRAD's U.S. mass notification business. Ms. Bowling also recently served as Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to serving Jacksonville, Ms. Bowling spent over 25 years in marketing and senior management at several public and private companies. In 2001, she co-founded one of the first chains of retail health clinics with Florida Governor Rick Scott.
