Carlyle Reportedly Eyes TV3

The Carlyle Group LP (NasdaqGS:CG) have held preliminary discussions with Doughty Hanson about a possible takeover of TV3 Television Network Limited, Sky News reported. Other media groups, including Liberty Global plc (NasdaqGS:LBTY.A), are also reported to have expressed an interest in acquiring TV3 Television Network Limited, although it is unclear whether they plan to table formal offers. The Carlyle Group LP and Doughty Hanson declined to comment.
International Big Companies Could Snap Up TV3

International broadcasters and telecoms companies could be interested in acquiring TV3 Television Network Limited, which is expected to go on the block after receiving takeover approaches. The Sunday Business Post last week revealed that TV3 had received several unsolicited bids recently. TV3 could fetch up to €140 million, or more than two and a half times its annual revenue. Viacom, Inc. (NasdaqGS:VIAB) Liberty Global plc (NasdaqGS:LBTY.A) and Communicorp Corp. could be possible buyers of the broadcaster.
Liberty Global Establishes Advanced Advertising and Data Business Unit; Names John Paul as Managing Director of Advanced Advertising and Data Business Unit

Liberty Global will establish a new business unit to pursue big data opportunities and new advertising models following a review conducted over the last five months. The Advanced Advertising and Data Business Unit will explore and define ways in which Liberty Global can leverage its investment in advanced networks to generate ad and data related value.
John Paul will assume the position of managing director of the Business Unit starting April 1, 2015. Paul is a former development resource within the Liberty family and has held a number of emerging product roles in both Broadcast and Cable.
Liberty Global CFO Says Bid to Acquire ITV Is Too "Pricey"

Liberty Global plc (NasdaqGS:LBTY.A) that a bid to acquire British broadcaster ITV plc (LSE:ITV) would be too pricey. Also, Liberty Global is not interested in acquiring a U.K. mobile operator since its Virgin Media cable network does not cover the entire country.

On February 24, 2015, Liberty Global plc held a general meeting of shareholders, at the meeting the company approved the adoption of new articles of association, which will create and authorize the issuance of new classes of ordinary shares, designated the LiLAC Class A Ordinary Shares, the LiLAC Class B Ordinary Shares and the LiLAC Class C Ordinary Shares, which are intended to track the performance of the Company's operations in Latin America and the Caribbean (the LiLAC Group) and make certain changes to the terms of the company's existing ordinary shares.
