Amazon.com In Talks To Buy Annapurna Labs

Amazon.com Inc. (NasdaqGS:AMZN) is in talks to buy Annapurna Labs Ltd for $370 million, financial newspaper Calcalist reported. The talks are in final stage of negotiations, the Israeli paper said. Annapurna Labs is owned by businessman Avigdor Willenz, the newspaper said, with other investors including ARM Holdings plc (LSE:ARM) and venture capital firm Walden International.
Amazon Strike Resumes in Leipzig

Late shift workers at the Amazon site in Leipzig went on strike again in the afternoon of 13 January 2015 until the end of the shift, as a row over pay and conditions continues. The employees, represented by German services workers union Verdi, are demanding a pay rise in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.

Amazon Faces $25 Million Lawsuit from Durst Organization

Durst Organization is suing Amazon for $25 million. Durst alleges the Seattle retailer did not follow through on an agreement to lease more than 300,000 square feet of office space in Manhattan. The lawsuit claims Amazon signed a letter of intent for an 11-year lease in the building in midtown Manhattan. Amazon recently signed a lease to rent 470,000 square feet in Manhattan for 17 years at 7 West 34th St., right by the Empire State Building.
One97 Reportedly In Talks For Fund Raising

One97 Communications Limited is in talks with General Atlantic LLC, Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited and Amazon.com Inc. (NasdaqGS:AMZN) to raise funding in a transaction valued at approximately $200 million, VCCircle reported citing sources close to the development. One97 Communications Limited is likely to finalize the deal in January 2015 itself.
