Atos SE Releases Self-Service Hadoop Software Platform
Mar 16 15
Atos SE has released the Self-Service Hadoop software platform. It accelerates the digital transformation of enterprises by making available fast and service based, Big Data software components. Atos designed and developed Hadoop Self-Service platform in response to the high adoption rates of the Hadoop ecosystem and of Big Data technologies in enterprises. It is a generic software platform that standardizes the infrastructure requirements with respect to any field of application while making access easy. With Hadoop Self-Service a Big Data application environment can be made available very rapidly and administered by the IT department. Deployment, which can be achieved with a few clicks, will automatically make available new Big Data environments to project teams, and therefore limit the need to resort to expert skills, that are difficult to find and costly, with each new project or deployment. The platform can be used to provision Hadoop working environments on a private cloud or a private data center or even a public cloud. Hadoop Self-Service caters for the needs of both the IT department that makes available a platform and the operational departments (project & business teams) that are the end users of such a platform. The development of Hadoop Self-Service is the result of cooperation and a strategic partnership with MAPR, the software provider of the open source platform.
