Rate Profile Information for RSWAEMUY

Retail Sales, except of motor vehicles, motorcycles. The Retail Trade Index (2005=100) is a business cycle indicator which shows the monthly activity of the retail sector in value and volume. It is a short-term indicator for final domestic demand. It should be noted that the volume of sales is different from the volume of (retail) trade services. The latter takes account of changes in the quality of the trade service supplied. As such the volume of sales is conceptually different from the index of production which takes account of quality changes. Classification: NACE Rev.1 (Statistical classification of economic activities in the European Community, Eurostat, 1996).

Quotes delayed, except where indicated otherwise. All prices in local currency. Time is ET.
