Data is provided weekly on Friday at 3:30pm EST for the week ending on Tuesday. For more details see CFTC. When a contract does not meet the CFTC's minimum reporting requirement there will be no data reported and that date will be left blank. The Coffee Sugar and Cocoa Exchange and New York Cotton Exchange were part of the New York Board of Trade which merged with IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) in January 2007. This data represents the total open interest for the stated futures and/or options contract. Open interest is the total of all futures and/or options contracts entered into and not yet offset by a transaction, by delivery, by excercise, etc. Open interest held of controlled by a trader is referred to as the trader's position. Open interest, as reported to the Commission and as used in the COT report, does not include open futures contracts against which notices of deliveries have been stopped by a trader or issued by the clearing organization of an exchange.
