The KBW Insurance Index (KIX) is a modified capitalization weighted index composed of 24 leading insurance companies active in the U.S. markets. The issues comprising KIX are the same as those of the KII, the Keefe Insurance Index, launched in 1999 by Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc. (KBW). The index was developed with a base value of 100.00 as of 12/31/2002.
