Brazilian SELIC Target rate (Meta do SELIC) is the benchmark rate set by the Brazilian Central Bank. The SELIC target was created on March 4, 1999, replacing the TBC and TBAN rates (the previous benchmark rates). The SELIC target is fixed by COPOM (Monetary Policy Committee).
