In September 2005, the series of national accounts were subjected to an overall methodological revision. This revision dealt with the period from 1995 onwards. The same revisions have not yet been applied to earlier figures and for this reason there is a break in the series between 1994 and 1995. Real prices are now calulated in terms of chained 2005 euros. However, due to the break mentioned above, all data for the period 1980- 1994 has remained in terms of 2000 prices.
