Continuing Resolution Combined With Minibuses ‘Too Cute’: Pelosi

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi says it "would be a little bit too cute" for Congress to pass series of "minibus" spending bills in lame-duck session and a continuing resolution to fund federal govt for rest of FY17.

  • "We have said we want to do an omnibus" spending bill, Pelosi says at news conference, and "that’s the way we should do it"
  • "If you want to do minibuses they have to add up to an omnibus, but to do a minibus and a CR adds up to two derelictions of duty"
  • "We have to rise up our responsibility"
  • She also says Donald Trump is "not going to be president," and his questioning of election’s integrity is "so irresponsible it goes beyond the pale"
