Taking a break after announcing his immigration plan in Las Vegas, President Barack Obama is golfing today in a foursome that includes just-retired New York Yankee Derek Jeter.

Obama is taking to the links today at the Shadow Creek Golf Course, owned by MGM Resorts International and built in North Las Vegas by casino magnate Steve Wynn.

Joining Obama and Jeter are Stephen Cloobeck and Brian Greenspun. Cloobeck is the chairman and founder of Diamond Resorts International Inc., based in Las Vegas, and a Democratic political donor. He was among hospitality industry executives who met with Obama in May to talk about reducing wait times at U.S. airports to boost the tourism industry. Greenspun is chief executive officer of Greenspun Media Group, which owns the Las Vegas Sun newspaper.

Obama is fond of combining business travel with golf, spending most days during his two-week vacation on Martha’s Vineyard in August on a course. In Washington, he golfs most often at courses on military bases in the suburbs.
