The downturn is hurting earnings at Polish banks. PKO Bank Polski SA, Poland’s biggest lender, posted a 9.4 percent drop in third-quarter profit as bad-loan provisions increased amid the weakening economy, the Warsaw-based lender said on Nov. 12.
