Philippines Shuts Capital in Manila’s Worst Floods in 3 Years

Hundreds of residents are housed in a basketball court that has been converted into an evacuation centre in Quezon City Suburban Manila on August 6, 2012. In Quezon City, the storm dumped 221.7 millimeters of rain overnight from 8 p.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today, the weather bureau reported.
