Europe Banks Shape Up Five Years After Lehman as ECB Taking Over

Barclays Plc, one of two U.K. lenders to miss its regulator’s targeted leverage ratio in June, will sell 5.8 billion pounds of stock, shrink assets by as much as 80 billion pounds to 1.5 trillion pounds and sell as much as 2 billion pounds of loss-absorbing securities, it said last month.
