"Ringelheim Crucifix" (German, c. 1000/before 1022). Believed to have been commissioned by Bishop Bernward, the nearly lifesize carved wood crucifix is on view at the Met Museum while the Hildesheim Cathedral and Museum are undergoing renovation.
