Poppy Trowbridge
Poppy Trowbridge is a London-based finance and investing reporter for Bloomberg Television. She covers the City's banking sector, European financial institutions, mergers and acquisitions and changing trends in finance across EMEA. She has interviewed many prominent financial leaders, including chief executives named to the Financial Times Stock Exchange 100, billionaire property developers and entrepreneurs across Europe. She also reports on a wide range of economic, technological, and market-moving issues that affect the business world, such as commodity price spikes, breakthrough intellectual property inventions and global sporting events such as the Olympic Games.
Prior to joining Bloomberg Television, Trowbridge served as Bloomberg News’ European mergers and acquisitions reporter, where she covered major stories such as the collapse of Northern Rock, the first British lender in one hundred and fifty years to suffer a bank run. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2007, Trowbridge was a business analyst with the consulting group Control Risks.
Trowbridge earned an Honor’s Degree in Linguistics from the University of Ottawa/Université Stendhal and her Master's Degree in Media and Communication from the London School of Economics. Trowbridge is also fluent in French.
