Paul Kedrosky
Dr. Paul Kedrosky is an investor, speaker, writer, media guy, and entrepreneur. In his spare time he is a dangerous Twitterer, cross-media contributor for Bloomberg, and the editor of Infectious Greed, one of the most widely read finance and technology blogs.
With a PhD in the economics of technology (which he mostly uses when bluffing outside of poker), a master's degree in finance (which he mostly uses when bluffing in poker), and an undergraduate degree in engineering, Kedrosky has a variety of roles in business. He is a senior fellow with the $2 billion Kauffman Foundation, where he is focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the future of risk capital, as well as advising the foundation on portfolio issues. In addition, Kedrosky is an active investor in both private and public companies, having sold businesses to Cisco and Twitter, among many others.
Kedrosky has also been a successful entrepreneur and was one of the first analysts to cover Internet companies. In 1999 he financed and launched one of the first hosted blog services, GrokSoup, and founded the technology equity research practice at HSBC James Capel.
Kedrosky is a regular speaker at major events. He has given more than 100 private and public talks to conferences, corporations, and universities around the world.
