Olivia Sterns is a reporter for Bloomberg Television, covering global markets and business news. Sterns is currently based in New York, focusing on the health care and pharmaceutical industries.
Previously, Sterns was a correspondent based in London. Past assignments include a 30-minute special on the South African economy and an exclusive half-hour program, "Inside De Beers." She has also traveled for Bloomberg from Davos to Dubai, interviewing economic leaders such as the Saudi Finance Minister, the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Director General of the WTO. Recent interviews include former AIG Chairman Hank Greenberg, Eli Lilly CEO John Lechleiter and Virgin founder Richard Branson.
Prior to joining Bloomberg Television in January 2010, Sterns worked at CNN International and ABC News. Sterns has traveled to more than 75 countries including Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria and Egypt.
Sterns graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science. She also earned her Master’s of Science degree in Global Politics from the London School of Economics, with distinction.
