Elliott Gotkine
Elliott Gotkine is a London-based reporter for Bloomberg Television, covering politics, the economy, corporate and general news stories from across Europe.
Since joining Bloomberg in 2007, Gotkine has reported on major international events, including the 2010 U.K. General Election, the global credit crisis, presidential elections in Turkey, OPEC meetings in Vienna and Royal Bank of Scotland's takeover of Dutch bank ABN AMRO (and subsequent nationalization). Gotkine has also interviewed business and political leaders including Virgin Group founder and Chairman Sir Richard Branson, Barclays PLC President Bob Diamond, Credit Suisse CEO Brady Dougan, Petrobras CEO Jose Sergio Gabrielli, WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy and U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron. Gotkine has also been nominated for a Business Journalist of the Year Award.
Gotkine previously worked for the BBC, where he served as a business reporter and South America correspondent. He holds a bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham and speaks fluent French and Spanish.
