Angie Lau

Angie Lau is a Hong Kong-based reporter for Bloomberg Television, covering business and economic news for viewers in Europe, Asia Pacific and the U.S. as well as Bloomberg TV India and Bloomberg TV Mongolia.

Lau, who joined Bloomberg in 2008, previously served as Bloomberg Television's U.S. affiliates reporter based in Chicago. She covered the Chicago Board of Trade, markets and business stories across the region for local television stations in the Midwest, including WGN-TV in Chicago.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Lau served as a consumer reporter and anchor for WEWS-TV, ABC's affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. Previous to that, she was a reporter for CTV News in Toronto and CBC News in Calgary.

Lau has earned recognition from the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists for Best Government Reporting, Best Consumer Reporting, and Best Investigative Report. She won the Ohio Excellence in Journalism Award for In-Depth and Investigative Reporting while at WEWS-TV. Lau is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) and is the co-director of AAJA J Camp, which teaches journalism to scholarship students across the nation.

Lau received her degree in journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
