New York, NY- Bloomberg LP, the leading provider of data, news and analytics for the business and financial communities, and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the world’s leading management consulting firms, today announced that BCG will serve as the knowledge partner for Bloomberg’s “2014: The Year Ahead” franchise.
BCG, globally recognized for its 50-year record of helping organizations improve performance and achieve their potential, will collaborate with Bloomberg on identifying the trends, technologies and newly emerging markets that will change business in 2014. The output from this collaboration will be explored in the pages of an expanded issue of Bloomberg Businessweek magazine and drive the conversation at the inaugural Bloomberg Business Summit.
The Bloomberg Businessweek issue, “2014: The Year Ahead,” to be published November 14, 2013, will give key decision makers forward-looking insights into 2014’s unique challenges and findings from the Bloomberg Matrix, the first annual set of proprietary data on, and analysis of, the world’s 600 most valuable companies across 55 industries. The Summit, which will be held at the Art Institute of Chicago, November 20-21, 2013, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of the City of Chicago and World Business Chicago, will bring together more than 250 CEOs, senior executives, public sector officials and thought leaders looking to test their assumptions and gain new ideas on sustaining success in the current global economic climate. Results from the Bloomberg Matrix will be highlighted at the Summit, as well.
“For fifty years, BCG has been helping leaders anticipate and respond to a changing world,” said Rich Lesser, President and CEO, The Boston Consulting Group. “We look forward to lending this deep understanding of how to move organizations ahead, along with our insights into virtually every industry, to our partnership with Bloomberg.
