Beth Mazzeo Chief Operating Officer of Bloomberg L.P.

Beth Mazzeo is Bloomberg’s Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for Technology Operations, Workplace Operations and People Operations functions. The combined organization is dedicated to adding value through a continuous drive for operational excellence by leveraging Bloomberg’s people, places, systems, and connections to enhance business performance. Mazzeo also serves as a member of Bloomberg’s Management Committee.

Mazzeo was previously the global head of Bloomberg’s Data Products division and was responsible for several global business units including Global Data, Data Acquisitions and Data Solutions, which provide the fastest, most comprehensive and highest quality financial data to clients globally. In this role, she worked to re-imagine the methods and technology Bloomberg uses to acquire, normalize, process, and analyze data. Mazzeo also oversaw the creation of new businesses, including the Bloomberg Valuation Service, Bloomberg Government and Bloomberg Law. In addition, she managed the acquisition and integration of Bloomberg New Energy Finance and Bloomberg Bureau of National Affairs.

After joining Bloomberg in 1986, Mazzeo was instrumental in developing Bloomberg’s trading system and additional trading applications. She helped build Bloomberg’s contributed pricing product and was charged with developing new solutions, and then evolving them to meet client needs and changing market conditions across the globe.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mazzeo worked for financial services firm Integrated Resources. She began her career on the syndicate desk of CM&M Securities, a division of Carroll, McEntee and McGinley.
Mazzeo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Villanova and serves on the university’s Board of Trustees. She is also a member of the National Center for Women and Information Technology.
