Last month, Bloomberg’s global network of employees were invited to “Mo”bilize for Men’s Health and join the firm’s first companywide campaign to support Movember, a month-long fundraising and awareness-building effort to combat prostate and testicular cancer.

Unique events and fundraising opportunities included pop-up barbershops and photo stations across Bloomberg offices from London to Tokyo and beyond. There was an overwhelming response. Over 1,200 employees, from 24 teams worldwide, joined forces, making Bloomberg the largest single company network on Movember’s official ‘Multinational Networks Leaderboard’.

Men and women alike participated from the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, Ireland, Australia, South Africa and Switzerland, raising $438,159 through employee donations and company matched funding.

“The Movember campaign really showed Bloomberg at its best. Colleagues around the world rose to the challenge, raising an impressive amount of money for this important cause. We came together, got people talking about men’s health, and displayed some remarkable facial hair. I couldn’t be more proud of the enthusiastic response,” said Peter Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg LP and the official face of the campaign.

Bloomberg has supported the Movember Foundation through its Employee Match program since 2009.
