The Best of Bloomberg (a.k.a. BOB) volunteer program was introduced by Mike Bloomberg to inspire employees to become good corporate citizens. BOB volunteer projects also serve as an extension of the company’s giving and provide opportunities for employees to contribute to their local communities. Every year, thousands of employees volunteer through BOB projects – like our colleagues in Princeton, N.J., who collected food all month to support needy families at Thanksgiving.

The generous collection of food yielded 129 dinner baskets plus 7 boxes of food destined for HomeFront and Habitat for Humanity of Trenton, N.J.

Bloomberg employees in New York City decorated special delivery bags that will be used to bring 3,000 Thanksgiving Day meals to the sick and elderly. The organization preparing and delivering the meals is called God’s Love We Deliver.

Bloomberg supports more than 195 charitable organizations worldwide through volunteering, mentoring and skills-based programs. To date, employees globally have volunteered 26,168 hours of their time to help others in need.
