Siemens Launches Group Bid for Alstom’s Energy Unit

June 16 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg’s Julie Hyman reports that Siemens is leading a joint bid with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Hitachi Ltd. to carve up Alstom’s energy units in a challenge to General Electric’s $17 billion offer for the company.
