The Elite Team Testing 600 Cups of Starbucks a Day

May 19 (Bloomberg) –- There's a small lab inside Starbucks headquarters called the "cupping room" where 75 percent of all Starbucks coffee will be tested before hitting stores. A group of seven "coffee-quality specialists" taste up to 600 different coffees a day in a regimented ritual known as "cupping."
