Lew Urges Congress to Reinforce IMF’s Loan Capacity

April 24 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew testifies about funding for the International Monetary Fund and negotiations on an aid package to Egypt. Lew urged Congress to fulfill a U.S. pledge to reinforce the war chest of the IMF, saying the lender has helped mitigate financial crises from the Middle East to Europe.
