April 1 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. President Barack Obama speaks about a surge in enrollments for coverage under the Affordable Care Act. The White House announced earlier today that slightly more than 7 million people had signed up for coverage by the close of the open enrollment period, which ended at midnight.
