Feb. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Adam Johnson reports that Office Depot Inc. and OfficeMax Inc. are discussing a possible merger deal that would create a single office-supply retailer to compete with Staples. Bloomberg Industries director Paul Sweeney also comments on the recent surge in M&A activity. They speak on Bloomberg Television's "Bloomberg Surveillance."
