Aug. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Mark Newman, an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein, talks about Samsung Electronics Co.'s second-quarter earnings and outlook. Samsung posted profit that missed analysts' estimates on increased marketing for its cheaper smartphones as it tries to fend off competition from Apple Inc. and Chinese producers.
